– The 3M Tegaderm IV Transparent Film Dressing with Border is a sterile, waterproof, breathable and transparent IV dressing meant for the protection of IV catheter sites and wounds
– The dressings act as a barrier that protects against external contaminants such as bacteria, viruses, blood and other bodily fluids
– The dressing maintain a moist environment around the wound to facilitate the healing process
– The dressing is flexible for greater patient comfort
– The transparent dressing enables complete visibility of the IV site
– The dressings are reinforced with two sterile tape strips to secure fixation of the IV device
– Indicated applications include:
– Coverage and protection of IV sites
– Chronic and acute wounds
– Pressure ulcers and superficial burns
– Autolytic debridement
– Body tattoo application and removal
– The dressings are available in 3 sizes:
– 5cm * 5.7cm in a pack of 100 dressings for peripheral IV applications in paediatric patients
– 8.5cm * 7cm in a pack of 100 dressings for peripheral IV applications in adult patients
– 8.5cm * 10.5cm in a pack of 50 dressings for central venous IV therapy
