Hill-Rom Care Assist Bed is made with the most recent technology that to provide comfort for the patient while offering easy access for the caregiver or health care provider. The Hill-Rom CareAssist ES Bed offers smooth integration with hospital and care systems. It can connect with several nurse call systems, including NaviCare, Nurse Call and EMR’s, among others. The CareAssist is also equipped with SafeView alerts, a monitoring system that detects when a patient has left their bed. This system works by using an algorithm on three separate levels. When the bed is connected to a power source and the Exit System is active, SafeView alerts hospital staff of any sudden changing conditions. An audible “brake not set” alarm lets the caregiver know immediately when the bed isn’t secure. An integrated scale allows for repeated weight examination while the patient is in any position.

The controls for the Hill Rom CareAssist are conveniently placed so that either the caregiver or the patient can operate with ease. Point-of-Care nurse controls allow for a quick reaction when needed, while an Intellidrive steering wheel helps a caregiver maneuver the bed through doors and hallways. A dining button will make the patient comfortable, placing them in an optimum position for eating. If the patient is bored, SideCom nurse call and entertainment controls are available for watching television. One-Handed extender and a nightlight are also built into the bed. For full functionality, the bed can extend to 84″ in length, easily accommodating taller individuals.
