Review
GE Vivid iq Review:
The GE Vivid iq is an all new system, but developed based on Vivid I and Q. It is the 2nd generation of GE’s dedicated cardiovascular portable system, so GE integrated many experimental hardware features and interface. Especially its console design, which has been totally changed from the former system, Vivid q and i, and integrated 15.6″ multi touch screen enables an user to experience more intuitive workflow. One of the most experimental function is using a track pad instead of a track ball that most systems currently use. With newly the designed cart, the Vivid iq supports many peripheral devices and four transducers including one DLP to support 6VT-D. Apparently, the GE Vivid iq does not support 4D TEE and ICE(Intra Cardiac Echocardiography), but those two features are expected to be integrated soon. Due to the estimated price point over $50,000 equal to Philips CX50, 4D TEE and ICE would be key options for the GE Vivid iq to successfully settle down its position at target market. The clinical options and features of the GE Vivid iq are almost similar to those of Vivid iq. Right now, due to the early version preexisted options and features are only applied. The advanced features expect to be loaded in the next version.
