The Toshiba Xario 100 Platinum is a compact and feature rich system that is positioned in the economy grade, but flexibly upgradable to the higher grade Xario 200 Platinum. Based on widely selectable options and transducers, the Toshiba Xario 100 Platinum is designed to support a full range of applications and can be used as a general-purpose system or a specialized system, depending on the installed software. The Toshiba Xario 100 Platinum with Toshiba’s well-known extensive selection of 28 transducers supports a wide range of clinical applications including fetal, abdominal, intra-operative(abdominal), laparoscopic, pediatric, small organs, neonatal cephalic, adult cephalic, trans-rectal, trans-vaginal, musculo-skeletal (conventional), musculo-skeletal (superficial), cardiac adult, cardiac pediatric, trans-esoph(cardiac) and peripheral vessel.

The Toshiba Xario 100 Platinum shares its platform with the Toshiba Xario 200 Platform. Both systems have the basic configuration as standard, but there are a number of selectable options that can extend the use of the system for many clinical applications. The standard package of the Toshiba Xario 100 Platinum are as follows: 19-inch LCD monitor, LCD touch screen, DVD/CD drive, Wide View, ApliPureTM, and B/W printer mounting brackets (side-access type).

The Toshiba Xario 200 and 100 Platinum originally developed from the Toshiba Xario XG, launched in 2007. With a couple of revisions and technology migration from Aplio series and also integrated full-digital transmission and reception processing technology, the Toshiba Xario 200 and 100 Platinum became more stable and reliable. Apart from those all selectable options, the Toshiba Aplio 100 Platinum supports total 28 transducers (Some transducers required to integrate upgrade optional kits) including sector, convex, 4D volume, linear, micro convex, TEE, and Pencil transducers. Among those 28 transducers, the Toshiba Xario Platinum series support about 5 different intra-operative and biopsy enhancement transducers that can improve clinical productivity in interventional Radiology, and also are available motor-driven volume transducers for in-depth 3/4D Obstetrics and Gynecology applications.

The Toshiba Xario Platinum series share the system architecture; therefore, functions in a manner similar to and are intended for the same use. For the dedicated cardiac application, the Toshiba Xario 100 Platinum has a choice of CW, Stress Echo, a full range of sector transducers, Pencil transducers, and adult TEE transducers.

The Toshiba Xario Platinum series also provide a number of clinical tools that enable wider clinical utilities and saves scanning time by providing better visualization in a short time. The Superb Micro Vascular Imaging (SMI) is one that increases physician’s clinical productivity and diagnostic efficiency with better visualization of low-velocity blood flow. The Contrast Harmonic Imaging (CHI) function is a unique feature that enables the second-harmonic wave signals from the microbubbles in the contrast medium to be visualized. The Elastography feature is a highly demanded option that allows tissue stiffness to be visualized based on the changes in velocity resulting from physical compression and decompression of the target region. The Toshiba Aplio Platinum series supports unique convex (PVT-350BTP) transducer that much improves the needle biopsy procedure by offering the method that a needle can be inserted and visualized in the middle of transducer, not from the edge of a transducer.
