Grippy – A Prosthetic Hand that can Touch and Feel

Meet Grippy India’s Own NABL Lab Safety Tested and Certified, 3D printed Prosthetic hand with a sense of touch and multi-grip control. Designed, engineered, and proudly made in India, Grippy is a lightweight and affordable, battery-powered prosthesis now available in the Indian market for people with below elbow amputation aged 15 years and above, where Bionics is as simple as switching on a light bulb. Grippy has been developed by Robo Bionics a Recognized Startup by the Startup India Initiative by the DPIIT, Govt of India.

With Grippy the user can feel the opening, closing and also differenciate between the Hard and Soft objects handled by the Hand.

A cautionary note is that Grippy cannot be purchased by anyone, it need to be fitted with a customized socket based on the measurmenets taken from the user. This fabrication and fitting process must be done by a Rehabilitation Council of India registered professional.
